The Farm
Welcome to Acorn Creek Farmstead – A teaching farm that feeds the community
The Garden
The garden and greenhouses serve many purposes for our small family farm. The garden feeds our family and local community and is the starting point for those who wish to grow their own food. All visitors who have joined our bi-monthly CSA or purchased vegetable starts may stroll through our greenhouses and main garden.
Pasture-raised Poultry, Grass-fed Beef, Forested Pork, Raw Milk Shares
Humanely and Ethically Raised Meat and Raw Milk from our Jersey Cow Herd
Pasture-Raised Chicken & Turkeys
In harmony with nature and traditionally raised, our chicken and holiday turkeys are raised on the pasture while enjoying the sunshine, grass, bugs, and a nonGMO whole grain feed soaked overnight in milk provided by our cows. The incredible flavor our poultry flocks offer is unmatchable.
Forested Pork Shares
Our hogs are raised in the forest, consuming forest vegetation, roots, acorn and hickory nuts, black walnuts, and persimmons. In addition to the natural diet provided, our hogs consume a nonGMO whole grain feed soaked overnight in milk, clabber, and whey provided by our cows.
Grass-fed and Finished Beef Shares
Prized for their highly tender and flavorful meat based on the Michelin star rating. Our Dexter beef cows prefer foraging over hay and grains, making them ideal for those who seek grass-fed and finished beef. We also offer grass-fed and grain-finished beef upon request.
Raw Milk Shares
Join our raw milk share program and receive fresh unpasteurized milk from our a2/a2 Jersey herd. Enjoy an exceptional cream line and nutrient-rich milk packed with vitamins, enzymes, and high in omega-3. Herd share members have the opportunity to add milk by-products to their milk share order.
Meet your farmers
Acorn Creek Farmstead, Waynesboro, Tennessee
Justin and Ann Scott are the founders and farmers of Acorn Creek Farmstead in southern Middle Tennessee. The couple is self-taught in homesteading and diligently aims to create a sustainable life that feeds their family and community.
Together, on their 42-acre small family farm, regenerative practices breathe life back into overgrazed pastures, while organic gardening practices grow nutrient-dense produce. The land and livestock thrive utilizing traditional farming practices where pasture-raised means, grazing native grasses while basking in the sun and laying under the oak trees.
Welcome to the farm, where we take nutrient-dense foods from our gardens and pastures to your plate.
